MULTIPURPOSE DOMESTIC UNIT explores various forms of reproduction within social, labor, technological and imaging spheres. A refurbished Ricoh copier machine which occupies the a former office-turned-gallery, behind a glass wall. The copier is programmed to chorepgraphically print thirteen previously scanned images on a timer throughout the day, leading to multiple papers falling onto the floor. The placement of a pair of wooden clogs on top of the machine references the historical sabot or act of sabotage, where workers would disrupt machinery, symbolizing resistance and complex relationships between labor and technology.
